Greetings from Hong Kong

I have an 850 Norton Commando MK1 1973 Interstate.

It was sold new by GK on 15 Feb 1974. The original owner brought it out to Hong Kong where it changed hands.

Ron Haslam & Tim Hesford

It was raced at the Macau Grand Prix in 76/77 and eventually got stripped and languished till I got it in 1998. A full rebuild over 18 months had her back on the road and she went round the Macau GP circuit again in 2007.

See the attached shot of Ron Haslam, myself and the star.

She is fitted with a GK head. When I rebuilt it I put a 2S cam in but I don't know what cam it had when it was sold back in 1974.

It's done 7000 miles in the intervening years since the rebuild and is a treat to ride.

Thanks for building this site. Cheers Tim Hesford

Tim's Norton Commando looks very glam and glitzy in this showroom display!
