GUS KUHN BMWs WIN SPORTS PRODUCTION CLASS IN BARCELONA 24-HOUR RACE

Two Gus Kuhn BMW Motorcycles took first and second places in the 1975 Barcelona 24-Hour Grand Prix d'Endurance, Sports Production class, held at the Montjuich Park circuit on 5th/6th July.

The winning Gus Kuhn BMW R90S was ridden by Gary Green and Dave Potter; second place was taken by Tom Dickie and Darryl Pendlebury on another Gus Kuhn R90S.

Both machines completed this gruelling race at record speed, the Green/Potter BMW covered 711 laps, and the Dickie/Pendlebury BMW 706 laps. This is the first time that any Sports Production machine has completed more than 700 laps.

Commented Vincent Davey, Managing Director of Gus Kuhn Motors, "Both of our BMWs ran like clockwork, without any serious mechanical problems. We have raced in the Barcelona 24-hour event for many consecutive years, but we have never had such a classic example of high speed reliability before".
